On Wednesday we hit the Venice Canals to do a photo shoot with Maria Granberg and Shaun Sipos for Iconic Rebel. The weather was epic and everyone had a good time, which produces some really great product and lifestyle shots. Check out some of the top selects in the slideshow player below...
So yesterday Tom Erik Ryen aka TomTom and I ventured out to shoot on the California Incline. Now if you don't know what the Incline is - it's one of the main lifelines to PCH from Santa Monica and the road has slowly been eroding to the point that it will be closed for almost two years starting on Monday, April 20th.
Thus with the forthcoming launch of Iconic Rebel a lifestyle brand that I am kicking off this Spring with my business partner Jeremy McCassy - I figured it only fitting to shoot our brand's slogan t-shirt "Always A Good Time" with TomTom skating down the Incline one last time.
The result were some great photos (see in the gallery) as well as some fun short video clips - look for these to leak out on Iconic-Rebel.com over the next few weeks.
My business partner, Jeremy McCassy and I headed back to Manhattan for our monthly creative fix and build up some buzz for our forthcoming next venture - Iconic Rebel.
Well after our lunch meeting with a potential strategic partner I pulled out my Canon to snap the madness of what would be the coldest weekend in the history of Manhattan.
Last week I was fortunate enough to shoot Kate Voegele and Leroy Sanchez perform at The Troubadour in West Hollywood to a packed house.
After being booked for a few commissioned photography assignments for the start of the new year I decided it was time to put my photography back out in the public eye and make myself available for booking.
I look forward to the opportunity to express my creativity once again with photography in 2015. The photo above is of sunset in Santa Monica close to my place that I shot last night, which I think showcases the goal of photography - "writing with light".
Thank you and more to come - Matthew Benjamin
